Pro-Active Government Relations
ARSA testifies before the Congress and represents the interests of independent aircraft maintenance and alteration facilities before the FAA, the NTSB, and other federal agencies. The Association is a resource to national news media and the aviation trade press on critical issues that affect maintenance.
ARSA is working to ensure that the FAA enforces its existing rules that require manufacturers to make continued airworthiness data available to maintenance providers for a fair and reasonable price. Repair stations worldwide backed the Association’s legislative proposal to ensure maintenance manual availability.
ARSA’s experience allows us to draft documents for the FAA’s consideration under the rulemaking process. We focus on difficult issues that require the involvement and approval of the FAA’s Flight Standards and Aircraft Certification Services. The FAA has adopted many of ARSA’s proposals because they resolved longstanding agency and industry concerns.
As the only association devoted to the unique regulatory needs of civil aviation maintenance, ARSA helps the FAA to develop guidance, policy and interpretations that are clear, concise and consistent, and applied uniformly to all similarly situated companies and individuals.
